Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band "Palace In Waterbury" - Original Master Series The Place Theater, Waterbury, CT August 21, 1976 Master Audience Recording Cassette>CD>Wav>Magix>flac Please note that I had originally seeded this back in 2008. However, the EQ on this new post is somewhat different as I had lost the re-worked recording and this is being done from scratch using the original source recording that was sent to me. Mr Anonymous wasn't in the best position for recording this one. However, it is an original master recording and just from a historical perspective, it's very much worth having! It appears that Mr Anonymous had a friend recording that night as BTR was a different uncirculated source tape. The sound is distant with some fan interference. However, as the show progresses, the recording seems to improve as Mr Anonymous obviously finds a better position. You can especially hear the Miami Horns on disc 2 and the last 2 songs get a lot better. For the entire show I did some light EQ work, mostly a volume boost and end fades. So, this one is an improvement from when I first received it. Once again Mr Anonymous graced us with rare original photos from the actual show. I put the photos to good use with CD artwork, for those who still like to listen to CDs. There was some controversy as to some of the other circulating recordings claiming to be this show. Here are some notes from BruceBase Wikipedia: Audience tape of good quality with a very enthusiastic crowd, and soundboard for the last three tracks. The three soundboard tracks are on CD "Deep Down In The Vaults" (E St Records). Collectors should note that the whole show soundboard available on CD "Palace Theater" (Joker) is actually a re-arranged version of the August 22nd show, which in itself is from an unknown date and location. The full, unedited show is available as an audience recording on CDR "Palace In Waterbury" from Fanatic Records. CDR "Waterbury 76" also circulates, which has some tracks from another show grafted on the end. There is apparently around ten minutes of silent Super 8 footage in existence from this show, but does not appear to be in general circulation. REST ASSURE THAT THIS IS IN FACT THE AUTHENTIC, COMPLETE RECORDING FROM THE AUGUST 21, 1976 WATERBURY, CT! Fanatic Records in association with Mr Anonymous is proud to bring to you another in the original master series! Enjoy and share freely!
