Title: You Might Be Dead Or At Least You're Ugly Flac Transfers> CD Wave Editor (remove cuts)> Goldwave (fades & file merging)> Audacity (Pitch Correction) MAGIX audio cleaning lab> CD Wave Editor (track splits)> TLH (Flac Level 8, Align, Verify) This has been a project that I have had in mind to do for a very long time. I believe that I first I worked on it over a decade ago. I remember asking Bosstrade if he had a copy of the audience recording. He said no, but he had a link to some dude's trading list. He sent it to me and told me that this dude has EVERYTHING! The list belonged to MJK5510 and he wasn't kidding. This was probably before Mark was a Jungleland member. Mark sent me a copy of the audience recording. He asked me to share what I made of it to the public. I played around with it but I didn't like the results. In an odd turn of events for me, I lost the files that Mark sent me. Probably because some Cat today me that he was going to upload his copy that he had copied from Ed's reels back in the day. Of course this never came to pass. Rob from Fanatic records put together "How Sweet It Is", a composite of the two different versions of the same soundboard. I'm essentially doing the same thing here, only adding what's available from the audience recording to create as complete version as possible. The original bootleg "Jersey Devil" used a down stream version of Pat Lee's amazing recording from 1978/12/19 of"Prove It Night All" to "patch" the original release. The scream of the young lady in the audience is a dead give away. I should know, I have the same response when I hear the 1978 version of "Prove It All Night". The audience recording isn't great, but it does give us over 22 more minutes of this epic Darkness show. Not much has to be said about summer shows from the "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" tour. The premiere of "Good Rockin' Tonight" kicks off this fantastic show. Throw in great versions of "Heartbreak Hotel", "The Fever" and "Sweet Little Sixteen", coupled with a guest appearance by Gary Busey on "Rave On" and you have Darkness magic. Thanks to Hrubesh who sent me the audience recording from the Mauro R. collection to make the show as complete as possible. Hope you enjoy. Patched with 12:16 of the audience recording. Growin' Up is cut on the soundboard. Patched with 9:59 of the audience recording. Quarter to Three is cut on the soundboard. No patch available. From Brucbase Wiki: Gary Busey guests again on "Rave On". "Growin' Up" includes the story of Bruce meeting Clarence. "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" includes the "Come A Little Bit Closer" intro. "Quarter To Three" includes "Oh, What A Night" in the midsection. Incomplete soundboard recording released on CD 'The Jersey Devil' (Golden Stars) and also in improved quality from a soundboard tape which belonged to 'Ed Sciaky. Audience recording also exists. 'How Sweet It Is' (Fanatic) is a composite of the two former sources, in an attempt to construct the best quality, most complete recording. "Good Rockin' Tonight" is played for the first time as well as "The Fever" once again. "Prove It All Night" fades out at the end, "Racing In The Street" is missing from the soundboard, but confirmed as played via the audience tape. "Thunder Road" fades in, "Growin' Up" is edited and "Quarter To Three" fades out. The recording of "Prove It All Night" found on The Jersey Devil is a fake, actually sourced from a completely different show.
