Twist and Shout Notes: The incredible River tour wrapped up with two shows in Cincinnati, Ohio that had been rescheduled from July, per Brucebase Wiki. The shows not only capped an incredible run for the band through the US, Europe and back again to the States, but marked Little Steven's last proper shows with the E Street Band until the 1999 Reunion tour. Covers played a huge role in the '81 tour and night one in Cincy is no exception as on this night Bruce and the band play "Who'll Stop the Rain," "This Land is Your Land," "Jole Blon" and the transformed "Trapped." --BK for JEMS =================== Just to piggy-back on BK's notes above, this performance of "Trapped" may be one of the best I've ever heard. I don't recall ever hearing Danny's organ this high in the mix and it adds so much intensity to the song. Bruce introduced "Trapped" by telling the story of his father working at the local factory, one that he had been telling prior to "Independence Day" throughout the tour. Curiously, there was no introduction to "Indy Day" at this show. But, again, "Trapped." Wow. Flynn
