The concert was scheduled to fall mid tour, but when the dates were rearranged due to Bruce's exhaustion, those of us who were there that night were lucky enough to get the last show. ORIGINAL SLEEVE NOTES The concert contained on this release, from the N.E.C Arena in Birmingham on 8/6/81, was in fact the final concert Bruce and the E Street Band gave on their acclaimed European tour of 1981, and as it turned out, the final indoor show they would give together in Europe to date* (though we live in hope!!**). This concert contains many of the highlights introduced in the later stages of this leg of the tour, including Follow That Dream, Johnny Bye Bye, Trapped and Jole Blon, plus appearences for Jackson Cage, Jungleland (strangely omitted for the bulk of the European tour), a long Detroit Medley and a Rockin' All Over The World finale. The source for this release is one of the best audience tapes of this era, and every care has been taken to track down the best copy of the source tape. This release is dedicated to those who were that night***, plus everybody who wishes that they were!! *Now no longer true!!!!! ** See above!!!! *** Including me!!!!
