Torrent notes: This is a quite fun show. "Asbury Park - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen" is a band project put together by nine great musicians, all of them of Norway's biggest Springsteen fans. Even though people like Odd Nordstoga and Christer Knutsen (the two vocalists) are "local" in the term that they're unknown outside of Norway, all of the band members are well-knows in their genres. Half of them are connected to Jaga Jazzist, the others have different backgrounds. Some facts on the show and recording: Asbury Park - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen Recorded by Bull with Core Sounds LC binaural mics into an iRiver H320
(with Rockbox patch for WAV recording). Sound quality: Band: The band had only rehearsed 16 songs, so they had to do two songs over again for the second encores. Track listing: 01 Intro Total time: ca. 2 hours Splits between CD1 and CD2 can be put wherever you like, I have not added any fades. With 80min CDs, you can get track 01-13 on CD1 and 14-19 on CD2. Or you can choose to split halfway in the show, then you split between tracks 11 and 12 or between 12 and 13. Christer Knutsen's intro for "The river" is fantastic - but unfortunately (for those foreigners) in norwegian. In total the show is a great version of Bruce & the E streeters anno the late '70s, with a few '80s songs as well. A nice listen for Bruce fans and/or fans of these artists who play.
