PICTURES - 2001 - PART 1

No wonder I'm happy here, as I've just bought a surround receiver and a good old fashioned turntable (about time?).

View of central Oslo from Frognerseteren.

In addition to a great view of the city from up here, the old buildings are also worth another look.

In Holmenkollen on March 11, to watch the traditional World Cup competition in Ski Jumping.

It was foggy (as usual) - if you look very careful you may see a ski jumper somewhere in there. The fog became so thick that the 2nd jump was cancelled.
These pictures were taken in March, when we went to Sitges and Barcelona in Spain

Inside the Montjuic Olympic Stadium in Barcelona. Built before the Olympic Games in 1992 (capacity 55.000), this is now the home ground of football team RCD Espanyol.

An overview of the harbour from Mount Montjuic.

You haven't been to Barcelona if you missed this! La Sagrada Familia by Antonio Gaudi is a must see.

By night.

The view from our hotel balcony in Sitges. Quite idyllic, or what....? Sitges is located 36 km south of Barcelona, and has 20.000 inhabitants.

Hotel Terramar.

A nice spot in the center of Sitges.

Nice houses all over the place.

The bullring Plaza de Toros Monumental in the centre of Barcelona.

Lene is very happy at the bustling food market La Boqueria, located off the La Rambla in the centre of Barcelona.

No holiday without football! Me and Lene soaking in the atmosphere at FC Barcelona's Camp Nou Stadium, with a capacity of 100.000 spectators. Not that many there that day, it was "just" half full (60.000......).

We had seats in the very last row behind one of the goals. The view was better than expected! The game ended with a 4-1 home win against the visitors from Las Palmas.

Airial view of the stadium.

Back home, and a smiling Lene is making dinner again. :-)

Can't remember what I was watching on tv here, but I'm almost sure it was a dissapointing football game. Judging from my face, I think I'm glad I can't remember...

First game of the season for our football team from work. A bit rusty after the winter we drew 1-1.

Lene during a dress rehearsal before the summer's weddings.

Taking a ride with the The City Bike of Trondheim.

Me and Trond watching the Springsteen telecast from New York City.

Fixing Lene's bike in our front yard.

Me and Thomas at the World Cup qualifier game between Norway and Belarus.

A terribly poor game ended in a 1-1 draw. Just awful.
