ABOUT ME

My name is Ståle Aune Fjellstad, I was born in 1974 and live in Trondheim, Norway. I am married and have one son. | ||
| I work as an analyst in a credit card company called DnB NOR Kort, which is a part of the DnB NOR group. | |||
| I studied for many years (some will say too many...) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, but I'm still not finished. I don't have time to write my final thesis because I'm working full-time, but one day I'll do it! I'm currently holding a Cand.mag. degree (Bachelor of Science), but hopefully I'll one day be Cand.polit. (Master degree) | |||
| To make it short, I have taken various courses in Sociology and Political Science, Economics, and Computer and Information Science. Plus some small courses here and there...way more than necessary actually. | |||
| I try to read as much as I can, luckily I'm able to read a little each day on the subway. Best books I've read are (insert drum roll here) Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien, and Hitchhikers' Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams. "Hm, not very original" you may say, but these book really are great, and haven't been so popular otherwise! I also enjoy good comics, and Calvin & Hobbes are a longtime favourite. I did also collect the Tintin albums when they came out here in Norway a few years ago. | |||
| I don't watch too much TV, but I have to follow The Sopranos. That must be one of the best series ever on TV! Simply a must. I also loved to watch Seinfeld when it was still on, and I can't wait to see this on DVD one day. I used to watch X-Files a few years ago, but the quality went downhill the last few seasons so I stopped watching it. Oh well. | |||
| I listen a lot to music. And I buy a lot of CD's. My favourite artists are Bruce Springsteen, Motorpsycho and Pearl Jam. I also like R.E.M. a lot, and many of the well known Seattle bands (Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana) and Faith No More. And Norwegian bands Seigmen, Bel Canto and Madrugada. And Tori Amos. And Dire Straits. And of course Loreena McKennitt! I could go on for a while here, but I won't bother you too much... | |||
| As a sports interested guy, I like to watch football as much as I can. Because I come from Trondheim, I support Rosenborg BK, which was my local team. As most Norwegians my age, I also have some teams in England to support - I became a fan of Liverpool at the age of 8. A few years later I started following Wolverhampton Wanderers as well (a far less successful choice than Liverpool of course, but no less entertaining). | |||
| And last but not least, I enjoy a computer game every now and then. Favourites are strategy titles like Civilization and Age Of Empires, and the very well known FIFA series. | |||
